Brandon Armstrong was born 17 June 1990 and is from Decatur, Georgia. He is a 6′1″ point guard, and he went to Chamblee Charter High School before four years at Lincoln Memorial University, an NCAA Division II programme in Harrogate, Tennessee.
The record there is real: 1,140 career points — tied 22nd in programme history — and 196 three-pointers, fifth all-time. He was SAC Co-Freshman of the Year in 2009 and an All-SAC First Team pick in 2012, and he started at the point for the 2010–11 side that went 27–3 and won Lincoln Memorial's first South Atlantic Conference regular-season and tournament titles.
He went undrafted in 2013, tried out with the Reno Bighorns of the NBA D-League in November 2012, and chased the game abroad. Then came the missed flight, and the comedy took over for about three years.
He has kept going back to the floor: the Melbourne University Black Angels in Australia's Big V in 2018, the Los Angeles Ignite of The Basketball League in 2024, and X-Rayted at The Basketball Tournament in 2025. His own bio still reads “Dad. Hooper. Entertainer.” — in that order.
